Below are critical dates regarding the 2009-10 league season:

1.  August 18th: League registrations handed out from 7:00 to 7:30pm. The General Membership meeting will commence at 7:30pm. Both will take place at Dublins Pub.

2.  September 1st: Registrations and fees to be turned in at Dublins Pub from 7:00 to 8:00pm.

3.  September 15th: Captains packages handed out at Dublins Pub from 7:00 to 8:00pm.

4.  September 22nd: 2009-10 League Season will commence.

5.  May 8, 2010: MHDL Awards Banquet at the MHat Lodge.

If you cannot attend the dates for the registrations to be handed out or submitted in, please contact a member of the Executive as soon as possible to make proper arrangements.  Unless arrangements have been made prior, there will be no extensions to dates/times for the registration process. Starting 30 July 09, the MHat Legion will be hosting blind draw doubles every Thursday night.

Cost: $2.00 per person (all monies to be paid out)

We are saddened to announce the passing of our dear friend Dave Mellor.  The members and Executive of the MHDL wish to extend our deepest condolences and prayers to Sharon and family during this very difficult time.

2009-stampede-open

The 2008-09 league season was great.  There were a lot of awesome darts thrown and a lot fun to be had for all.  The banquet was great this year and we must now bid farewell to the old season and start planning for the 2009-10 season.

We, the Executive, are looking forward to what we hope will be a very fun and exciting year.  One goal we are striving for is to try and increase the membership by approx 10% from last season.

REGISTRATIONS:

To ensure all have a fair opportunity to organize and plan your teams, here is a brief overview of the registration dates:

1. Tuesday, August 18, Registration sheets will be handed out from 7:00 to 7:30 pm, at Dublin’s Pub, followed by a general membership meeting to commence at 7:30 pm.  If you cannot attend to collect a registration form, remember you may download one from the website under “forms”.  Those that have some items they would like brought forward for the general membership meeting, to ensure there is ample time and opportunity for you to present your item, please feel free to contact me prior.

2. Tuesday, September 1, Registration sheets and league fees to be turned in between 7:00-8:00 pm, at Dublin’s Pub.  There will be no extensions to this deadline, so if you are unavailable for September 1st, feel free to contact any one of the Executive and make arrangements to turn the registrations and fees prior to the 1st.

SHOOTS

Slowly, but surely, we are planning the shoot schedule for the next season.  If you are interested in hosting a dart shoot, please contact Peggy Smith as soon as possible.  Peggy will be able to quickly provide you with the dates available to avoid conflicting with already slated events.  Just a reminder, that the MHDL and its Executive are not responsible for any shoots that do not fall under the MHDL umbrella.

Don’t forget to peruse through the website.  Dave Curthoys has done an awesome job maintaining it for us and there are some very useful tools contained herein as well such as shoot sheets, an out sheet, etc.

First of all we thank you all for a very nice evening and the award, for once I was speechless.

The highlight of the evening for myself and Peggy, was the Best Player Award, going to Bill Hatter,  for all his hard work and volunteering at all levels of Darts in Canada. The standing ovation as he received his award was awesome, and well deserved. (click the image for a larger view)

Also of note,  Nikki Huber and  Wally Enslen  both scored a 170 out, and Billy York scored 28 x 180’s. Incredible Darts and congratulations to all three players
