The MHDL Executive have discussed the potential for the H1N1 pandemic and what we may do to minimize risk of spreading the germs associated with influenza. As such, we feel that at this point in time, it may be more beneficial to all if we do not shake hands with our opponents or when thanking your chalkers. As a respectful form of recognizing your opponent, we suggest that you:
1. Bump knuckles, or
2. Nod your head and offer a verbal acknowledgement.
Either way will be accepted by the MHDL as a respectful means of acknowledging your opponent, at least for the duration of the possible H1N1 pandemic.
